Quaker Steak & Lube introduced a new line of iced tea and lemonade drinks as a promo. During the filming, we used standard glasses to showcase the new drinks....however, we were told later that the new mugs with an embossed logo (which had not arrived yet) should have been used in place of the standard mugs.

Nuke's 3D and planar trackers were used to track in a CG logo for the glasses. The combination of tracking and 3D compositing allowed Cinemanix to add the logo to the glasses during the post process.

The use of CG elements helped the client to air the commercial by the desired date to coincide with the promo, and avoid the need to re-shoot.
